This year we celebrated our 50th anniversary!
The Centre's inaugural meeting was held on 1 October 1975, and there are still a few members from that time. We organised a Golden Anniversary Lunch for members on Thursday 11 September.
Greetings cards sold at our talks have generated £700 surplus which we recently donated to the National Trust's Neptune Coastline Campaign. Thank you to everyone who bought cards and made this possible!
Our Christmas Lunch for members will be on Thursday 11 December. Details were included with the September Bulletin.
Beckenham: we meet informally for coffee from 10.45 am at Joy's Kitchen, Beckenham Methodist Church (where our Thursday afternoon meetings are held) on the first Monday of each month in school term time.
Bromley: we meet informally for coffee from 10.45 am at 1917 Chill Café, Widmore Road (opposite Boots and the URC church) on the fourth Wednesday of each month.
